Meet Dr. Cosman

Dr. Nick Cosman feels privileged to be able to help his patients maintain their oral health. His philosophy with regard to dentistry is that prevention of disease is the cornerstone to optimal oral health. As such, he takes the time to educate his patients as to how they can prevent oral disease and keep their smiles beautiful for a lifetime.

Although he delivers a full spectrum of general dentistry to patients, Dr. Cosman has a passion for oral surgery, specifically implant surgery. This type of dentistry has dramatically changed his patients’ lives. He enjoys the technical challenges of dentistry, blended with patient care and interaction in a team environment.

Education and Continuing Education

Dr. Cosman graduated in 2007 from the University of British Columbia with his Doctorate of Dental Medicine. For five years, he practiced with the Canadian Armed Forces here in Kingston while working part-time with Cataraqui Dental Centre. After his military retirement in 2013, he joined the Cataraqui Dental Centre as partner.

Dr. Cosman considers himself a continuing education enthusiast! He loves to learn and is continuously looking for new and innovative techniques to give his patients the most up-to-date treatment available.

Outside the Office

Born in Saint John, NB, Dr. Cosman moved to Victoria, BC with his family when he was 15 years old. He has lived in Kingston since 2007. He and his wife have two beautiful children, Hunter and Raina, and a Golden Retriever named Solar.  

When he’s not in the office, Dr. Cosman loves to compete in triathlons and running races. A competitive athlete from a very young age, Dr. Cosman loves to push himself to his limits and has been able to compete nationally and internationally in triathlon. He and his wife also love to spend active time with their children, who enjoy swimming, biking, and running as well.
