Dr. Gordon Lansdown has practiced exceptional dentistry in Kingston, Ontario since joining Dr. Tom Holmes at Cataraqui Dental Centre in 1986. Coming from a family with a long history in both the medical profession and the artistic community, Dr. Lansdown chose the dental profession to combine his personal interest in art and science with his passion for helping people live healthier, happier lives.
Education and Continuing Education
Dr. Lansdown graduated from the University of Western Ontario, where he earned his Bachelor of Arts in psychology with honours. He continued on at UWO for his Doctorate of Dental Surgery.
Dr. Lansdown remains current on all dental techniques, including oral pathology, pediatric dentistry, geriatric dentistry, dental materials, and emergency medicine, and takes continuing education courses whenever he can. Most recently, he completed a mini-residency in dental implants.
Outside the Office
Born in Winnipeg, MB, and having grown up there and in Toronto, Dr. Lansdown has made his home in Kingston since 1986. He met his wife Paula here, where she was attending nursing school after having moved from Prince Edward Island. They have been married since 1992, and have two children, Alexandra and Nicholas.
Dr. Lansdown is a member of the Royal Kingston Curling Club and enjoys all outdoor activities, including camping, canoeing, hiking, gardening, bird watching, skiing, and golfing. When they’re not in Kingston, the family enjoys spending time in their cottage in Haliburton, ON, and on Prince Edward Island in the summer.
